Greetings,

I live in Barre Vermont, and I was employed for the last 4 years at the Vermont Department of Labor as their Linux and VSE system administrator, a system emulated on an IBM X series Unix platform under SCO.  I am an avid Linux user, python, bash developer and system administrator.  In addition I have taught Advanced Programming For The Unix Environment in C, so I intimately understand both C and Object Oriented Programming.

Hopefully this details considerable experience and publications in the areas of Military, Broadcast, Government, Research, Education and Commercial Information Assurance. Additionally, I possesses an extensive background in data system programming, certification management, design, engineering, evaluation and appraisal. 

Early in my career I achieved the position of the chief of video
engineering at Georgetown University Medical Center. This position   
involved general knowledge of all of the departments of a major world
class medical institution. As my interest in digital technology grew I
joined the National Biomedical Research Foundation and had the opportunity
to work with Dr. Robert Ledley on several of his projects in computer
technology, Digital Radiography, and was introduced to convoutional
threshold analysis and detection, and the concepts of differential
diagnosis.

Later experience includes performing several system security
certifications of facilities under the control of the US DoD office of the
Surgeon General, the Navy Medical Information Management Center, (NMIMC)
as well as being part of the team that wrote the initial information
system certification and accreditation for the Center for Disease Control
and Prevention in Atlanta. As a contractor, I consulted on the design of
the Theater Medical Information System (TMIP) as part of a long term
contract with Planning Research Corporation (PRC). I have studied both the
VISTA and the CHCSII medical information delivery systems, and have
additional knowledge of other medical, dental information systems, as well
as HL7, ICD and AMA CPT coding and classification systems. I have began
administering TSM on AIX systems beginning with the IBM RS-6000 platform
and eventually moving to the IBM "P" series. My experience with IBM TSM
(Tivoli Storage Management) began back when it was called ADSTAR
Distributed Storage Management (ADSM). My main computing interest are
Unix, Linux and BSD derivatives. Additionally, I have continued
familiarity with AIX when I completed a NIST Certification of the IBM P
series AIX system at the Library of Congress.
