a meeting to assist use of sugar on compost computers
[[ucb]]
The Maple Sugar in the [[Second World]]\n\nThis all started when Walter Bender came to talk at the Vermont Free Open Source Education Conference, I pointed out to Walter that unlike, Darfor, Mogadishu, or Kampala, the kids in Barre could not get shiny new OLPCs and ended up trying to run Sugar on old "Compost" class computers.\n\nSo the challenge was could you run sugar on this older hardware, \n* with limited RAM\n* odd bios\n* and even bizarre video\n\nWalter said he would entertain the idea of coming to Barre, Vermont and helping us get our lab to run Sugar. I like Maple Sugar.\n\n\n! More Information To Come!\n\n
